Are the old wives’ tales truth or myth? Can they withstand scientific tests?
Wanna develop a science-based recipe for the perfect dish?

Join our 1st SciChef Cooking Challenge! and be a SciChef to enjoy the wonders of science-based cooking!

Participants will design their own scientific experiments to investigate old wives’ tales or recipes of their choice, and suggest an innovative perfect cooking formula based on their experimental findings. Experimental designs involving the use of control groups and sensory evaluation are some of the useful ways for such investigation. Throughout the investigation, try asking yourself critical questions: Are the conditions (e.g. portions, time and temperature) carefully monitored? What do the data reveal? How can you conclude from the data?
