我們眼見的所謂食物 其實都只是玉米 Did You Know It Was All About The Corn?

今天,我們有的是食物工程化,而不是真正的製造食物。如果要逐一追索我們的食物來源,你會發現,在超市售賣的食品中,超過90%含有玉米或大豆成分,而絕大部份都包含這兩種原材料。我們眼見的所謂食物, 其實都只是玉米。

政府的農務優惠政策令種植玉米的成本下降,從而令商家和政府的所得利益得以提升。低成本引申而來的是過度的供應; 而過度的供應過後便是銷售價格的下降。由於玉米的價格是真的很便宜,而它又含有豐富的脂肪和澱粉,所以農民現在都傾向使用玉米餵飼禽畜,甚至是魚!為什麼?因為它可以加快動物的脂肪生長,從而提高其銷售價格。

Nowadays we are engineering but not growing our food. It is truly amazing how much food is derived from corn. If one chases back the source of our food, you will find that more than 90% of food we can find in the supermarket contain corn or soya bean ingredients, and most of them contain both.

The government official makes growing corns to be  so cheap, which as a result, the planting of corns is simply overproduced. As corn is really cheap and it is rich in fat and starch, farmers now tend to use corn to feed their cows, pigs, poultry, and even the fishes! And why? Because it can makes the animals fat quickly.
